Sorb-It 5 gram food & pharma grade silica gel desiccant is produced in dust-free clean room, under GMP and suitable for use in direct contact with food and pharmaceuticals.

It is wrapped by food & pharma grade  Gdt60 nonwoven which is dust proof, has good tensile strength and good air breathability. It is filled by food grade granular white silica gel 0,7-1,4 mm.


Sorb-It sachets have a long shelf life thanks to its aluminum barrier protective packaging with very high moisture permeability resistance.

What is it used for ?

By adsorbing water molecules in the air, Sorb-It 5 gram food & pharma grade silica gel desiccant protects goods against negative impacts of excessive moisture. It is used to avoid mold, fungus, mildew, discoloration and deterioration. Accordingly, it minimizes the risk of moisture damage to the goods caused by condensation of water vapor.

Sorb-It 5 gram food & pharma grade silica gel desiccant can be used in restaurants, hotels, homes, offices, depots to protect food and pharmaceutical products, supplements, vitamins, books, home appliances, electronics, documents, metal boxes, albums, toys, art works, cameras, clothes, textile, leather, shoes, bags, collectibles, 3D filaments, accessories, jewellery, decorative items, guns, watches, music instrument strings, and many others against moisture.

Being a food and pharma grade dust-free product, it is also preferred in industries like food, pharma, medical, electronics, leather to protect goods during export shipping and storage. 

How to use it ?

The optimum required quantity may change as per application and shipping conditions.Under normal conditions, 1 sachet of SORB-IT 5 gram silica gel is recommended for approximately 5 lt (0,005 cubic meter) container space. 

It is important to keep container air-tight for an effective usage. If high humidity, long-term or sensitive protection is concerned, increasing the amount of use is highly recommended. After removing the silicagel sachet from the aluminium barrier bag, place it immediately in the volume you want to apply. Store unused silica gel packages in an airtight manner for future use.
