Marisorbent blue indicating silica gel in bulk (25 kg woven bag) is a highly porous, amorphous, non-toxic, non-flammable and odorless industrial adsorbent.

It is chemically inert and has good adsorption capacity.

Silica gel is commonly packed in sachets but also available in bulk.  There are three types of bulk silica gel  : white, orange and blue.

Orange indicating silica gel changes color from blue to pink when saturated.

What is it used for ?

Silica gel is  one of the most commonly used industrial adsorbents.

By adsorbing the water molecules in the air, it will reduce the relative humidity to the levels to avoid occurance of condensation. It reduces risk of damage caused by excessive moisture.

It is inert and does not corrode or attack other materials.  Reactivation is possible by heating. (please refer to Reactivation section)

Stored air-tight, it offers a good shelf life.

Where to use it ?

Marisorbent blue indicating silica gel in bulk is used in many industrial sectors. Main industries are petrochemicals, compressed air systems, transformers, power distribution units, industrial air drying systems, industrial installations, electronic equipments, transportation and storage, aviation and many others.

How to use it ?

The optimum required quantity may change according to conditions of the specific application.

Under normal conditions, 1 kg silica gel is recommended for 1 m3 enclosed space.

For efficient use, the enclosed space should be kept airtight.
